I'm glad you found this! If you're reading this, you undoubtedly know me from fanfiction (right?). Well, good, because fanfiction is pretty much my life. BUT - I started high school this year, and felt I needed another outlet to express my nerdiness. Thus, this blog.
Basically, I am going to be obsessing here. Usually not too sarcastically, but if I'm in a particularly witty mood I may bash Twilight :). The posts will mostly be about either books, TV, movies or music, and then I might talk about my life a little bit. We'll see how it goes.
For this first post, I think I'm going to state my three current obsessions, and the reason I am obsessed with them. That way I can talk and feel as if people are actually listening to what I'm saying.

Current Obsessions:
1) Hunger Games
I've managed to stay obsessed since the release of Catching Fire, so that's almost an entire month now. I'm impressed with myself, to be honest. And yes, as with my usual boy-craziness, it is because of the male characters. So, let's obsess!
Peeta: I know, he can be irritating (to some; I know others think he's the image of perfection). If you're not a fan of Gary Stu types, he can be a very worthy trigger of a headdesk. But in my opinion, he is angelic. This can be a flaw in the sense of reading about it(it's freaking annoying sometimes), but when you're reenacting certain scenes in your mind, it's rather... Well, let's just say he comes close to Jaden Yuki for my list of all-time "awable". Yeah. He's that good.
Gale: Love him. To pieces really, and it's a shame that more people don't see it. In his appearance, he has the sort of the looks I like in a guy. With the dark hair and light eyes and everything? Yeah, kind of my type. Also, he's such protector kind of guy. He always sort of reminds me of Mori (Ouran High School Host Club) - "The Strong, Silent Type".
Haymitch: Yeah, I'm twisted. But I adore him, and he's the reason I fully joined the obsession train and became a member of HGT. He's just like... Ugh, I don't even know. Maybe I'm too much in the business of pretending I can reform fictional characters, but I even love him enough not to hate him for throwing up in the first book (extremely emetophobic here).
Finnick: Also a Gary Stu, but in a totally different way. I love that the love of his life is a nutter, and I love that he's good with a trident. He's like the smart version of Percy Jackson! And okay, this is going to sound absolutely bizarre, but does anyone know the myth of Atalanta? The one where the girl runs the race, in order to earn the right of choosing not to marry? Yeah, well, I picture him almost as Hippomenes, the star male of that myth. Don't ask, but he's wearing a sweat band in every mental image I have of him.
That is all for my Hunger Games rant, for today, but I'm going to debate Peeta vs. Gale (vs. Finnick too, because I can!) sometime next week. And I'm going to a music rant too.

2) Glee
It's GLEE! Even of you ignore the fact that they've already included every single thing that makes me fall in love with anything at all, it's still amazing. Come on, it's hilarious!
The FOOTBALL PLAYERS were DANCING on the FIELD to SINGLE LADIES! Priceless, in a word. Plus, I love the music. They are stellar, stellar singers. And I love the characters. Like, I feel for them, but not so deeply that their every mistake pisses me off. For this kind of thing, that sort of connection is perfect (oh yeah, :), I rhymed).
And... I loved Matthew Morrison from forever ago. Just sayin'. I loved him from Hairspray and I loved him from This Ordinary Thursday (which you've probably never heard of, so ha!).
Ooh, ooh, and KRISTEN CHENOWETH is guest starring. I mean, c'mon people! This show is too amazing for me to process. She was in Wicked and in West Wing! I mean, what is this? It's like the show wrote down my every desire and did their best to visualize it. Aaah! I can't wait for the rest of the season!
Lastly, since I live for crossovers, four Heroes actors are in this thing. Bob, Charlie, Meredith and the head cheerleader from season 2. An interesting bunch, but still, I am a happy, happy child.

3) Harry Potter
When I turn fifteen (about a month to go, yay!), it will be my tenth year of being an HP fanatic. I am proud. Not quite in the mood to delve into my adoration for it, but yeah. It's awesome. Like, undeniably so. Nothing can mess with it, and Twilight can go and hook up with Buffy for all I care.

In the future, I'll do more fandom discussion. IN FACT, if you PM me on fanfiction, I can discuss any topic you like (well, maybe. No promises.). But yeah, expect music discussion and HG discussion, I'd say. At least for the reasonable future. Unless I watch Outsiders again tomorrow, like I might do. Then... I'd expect Outsiders stuff :).
So, now for RL stuff!
My current RL problem: Augh! My headphones broke in my headphone slot. I have no headphones, and I have no volume on my computer. Does anyone know how to remove a fragment of headphone from the headphone hole?!
And in other news... Happy Yom Kippur! No idea if any of you are Jewish (Jew power :)!), but I wish it to all of you.
Anyway, have a lovely rest of your weekend, and any comments you can leave me on your enjoyment of this would be wonderfully appreciated :)! Thanks for visiting!
